You WILL Find What You’re Looking For

Binoculars

(In several posts I’ve been tempted to simply write a sentence or two — or even just leave it blank except for the title. This is probably the closest I’ve come to actually doing this, but I decided that, rather than explain or elaborate, I’d simply offer some examples to reinforce the title’s point…)

  • If you’re looking for reasons to feel good, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for reasons to feel bad, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for reasons why your life is great, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for reasons why your life is terrible, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for friends, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for enemies, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for evidence that proves you right, you’ll find it.
  • If you’re looking for what’s wrong with the world, you’ll find it.
  • If you’re looking for what’s right with the world, you’ll find it.
  • If you’re looking for lies, you’ll find them.
  • If you’re looking for truth, you’ll find it.
  • If you’re looking for beauty, you’ll find it.
  • If you’re looking for joy, you’ll find it.
  • If you’re looking for love, you’ll find it.

You WILL find what you’re looking for!

So, the big question is: What are you looking for?

(Or, perhaps more to the point: What are you looking at?)
